Does this weapon have a safety?-Anonymous
- Aside from the grip safety, it looks like it has one on the left side.--Funkychinaman 05:10, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I see it now, at first I thought the knob on the safety was the magazine release.-Anonymous
Is it really Single Action? I don't see a hammer. -SasquatchJim
- Yes, it's single action with an internal hammer. Similar to the Colt 1903/1908 Pocket auto.

An ancestor: Colt 1908 or FN 1905?
We have a lot of European pocket pistols on this page, and they are labeled as descendants of Colt 1908. But isn't it more correct to say that numerous Spanish "Eibar" pistols and their French cousins are based on FN Model 1905 rather than Colt 1908? Both FN and Colt pistols are brainchild of John Moses Browning and are very close to each other, so technically any of them can be called an ancestor for later pistols, but isn't it more logical that Spanish and French pistols are primarily offsprings of a Belgian model? Maybe the best decision would be to merge Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket and FN Model 1905 pages. Greg-Z (talk) 11:14, 26 December 2013 (EST)
- I agree with this. It makes no sense to have the FN 1905 (which was the version of the Colt 1908 made for the European market) on a separate page & then have the European knock-offs listed on the Colt 1908 page. They should either be moved to the FN 1905 page or the FN 1905 should be included within this page too. GrizzlyWeasel (talk) 07:54, 19 March 2016 (EDT)
