Saints Row IV is an open world sandbox action game developed by Voltion and published by Deep Silver in 2013. It was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows on August 20th, 2013. It was later remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 20th, 2015. The game takes place in the fictional city of Steelport and continues on from where Saints Row: The Third left off. The protagonist becomes the president of the United States of America after saving the country from a nuclear missile. However, an alien invasion begins soon after and the protagonist is kidnapped and transported to a computer simulation of Steelport where the player must defeat the alien threat.
The following firearms can be seen in the video game Saints Row IV
Handguns
"Quickshot Pistol"
Colt Defender
The 9mm tactical skin for the Quickshot Pistol is based on the Colt Defender. It appears to be a .45 ACP variant, despite the game calling it a 9mm pistol. It can be upgraded to have a larger magazine and armor piercing rounds and can be dual wielded.
Mauser C96
The Renegade skin for the Quickshot Pistol is based on Han Solo's blaster from Star Wars, which in turn is based on the Mauser C96. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine and fire armor piercing round. The scope is unusable and it can be dual wielded.
"Heavy Pistol"
Desert Eagle
The .45 Fletcher skin for the Heavy Pistol is based on the Desert Eagle. It appears to be based on the .50 AE version of the Desert Eagle, despite the game stating that it fires .45 ACP. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine and fire explosive ammunition. It can also be dual wielded.
Chiappa Rhino 60DS
The Cumia Magnum skin for the Heavy Pistol is based on the Chiappa Rhino 60DS. It features an unusable red dot sight on the barrel. It can be upgraded to have an extended mag (even though it only has 6 chambers) and fir explosive ammunition. It can also be dual wielded.
Sub-machine guns
"Heavy SMG"
Heckler & Koch MP5SD
The SWAT SMG skin for the Heavy SMG is based on the Heckler & Koch MP5SD. It features a red dot sight and forward grip. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine and fire corrosive ammo. It can be dual wielded.
Auto Ordnance M1927 Thompson
The Gangland skin for the Heavy SMG is based on the Auto Ordnance M1927 Thompson. It features a strange unusable sight. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine and fire corrosive ammo. It can be dual wielded.
MP-40
The BG-40 skin for the Heavy SMG is based on the MP40. It is available in the Bradygames DLC pack. It can be upgraded with an extended magazine and to fire corrosive rounds. It can be dual wielded.
"Rapid Fire SMG"
Ingram Mac 10
The Manga 10mm skin for the Rapid Fire SMG is based on the MAC-10. It incorrectly fires 10mm ammunition, it only fires .45 ACP or 9x19mm in real life. It features a suppressor and Picatinny rail. It is missing a charging handle which would make it more than difficult to reload. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine and to fire "lightning shots" (electric rounds). It can be dual wielded.
Beretta 93R
The Cyborg Pistol skin for the Rapid Fire SMG is based on RoboCop's Auto 9 in RoboCop, which in turn is based on the Beretta 93R. It is a handgun but the game incorrectly classifies it as a sub-machine gun. It can be dual wielded and upgraded tohave an extended magazine and to fire "lightning rounds" (electric rounds).
Shotguns
Pump-Action Shotgun
Ithaca Model 37 Stakeout
The Deacon 12-Gauge skin for the Pump-Action Shotgun is based on the Ithaca 37 "Stakeout". It features a forward grip and can be upgraded to have an extended tube.
Semi-Auto Shotgun
PPSh-41
The TAK-10 Streetsweeper skin for the Semi Auto Shotgun is based on a mix between the PPSh-41 and the fictional Combat Shotgun from Fallout 3. It can be upgraded to sport an extended magazine and fire full auto.
Remington Model 870
The Big Game skin for the Semi Auto Shotgun is based on the Remington Model 870. The Remington 870 is a pump action in real life. It can be upgraded to have an extended tube and fire in full auto.
Remington Model 11-87
The Full Choke Suppressed skin for the Semi Auto Shotgun is based off of the Remington Model 11-87 from No Country for Old Men. It sports a long suppressor and can be upgraded to have an extended tube and fire in full auto.
Rifles and Carbines
Automatic Rifle
M4A1 Carbine
The Shokolov AR skin for the Automatic Rifle is based on the M4/M4A1 Carbine. It features a front grip attached with what looks like a metal clamp. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine.
Burst Rifle
Beretta Cx4 Storm
The Guardsman AR skin for the Burst Rifle is based on the Beretta Cx4 Storm. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine.
Sniper Rifle
AS-50
The McManus 2020 is a skin for the Sniper Rifle based on the Accuracy International AS50. It features a forward grip and can be upgraded to feature an extended magazine and more powerful scope.
M3 Carbine
The GI Sniper is a skin for the Sniper Rifle that is based on the M3 Carbine. It features a large night scope, a forward grip, and extended magazine. It can be upgraded to hold more ammunition and make the scope more powerful.
Winchester Model 1894
The Lever-Action skin for the Sniper Rifle is based on the Winchester Model 1894. The weapon is not modeled with a scope which would make it very difficult to zoom in and out like a sniper scope, but we like to think that the protagonist is skilled enough to do this.
Machine Guns
M249 SAW Para
The M249 SAW is called the Mercenary LMG in game. It is actually a skin for the Automatic Rifle. It can be upgraded to have an extended magazine.
Missle Launchers
M202 Flash
The M202 Flash is called the RPG in game. Unlike its real life counterpart, it only has one barrel. It can be upgraded to fire lock on missles.
