Schwarzesmarken is an ongoing anime series based on the novel and visual novel game of the same name. The event took place in the Muv-Luv Alternative universe.
In an alternative time line, humanity is fighting a desperate battle against an overwhelming invading army of alien species collectively known as BETA (Being of Extra Terrestrial origin which is Adversary of the human race). Due to the presence of laser-class BETA neutralizing humanity's air superiority, the armies of the world built tactical surface fighters (TSF) to battle against the BETA.
By 1983, the the border of East Germany (German Democratic Republic, DDR) became the front line as the BETA advanced across Eurasia. The story follows the elite 666th "Schwarzesmarken"b TSF Squadron of the East German Army (Nationale Volksarmee, NVA) as they battle enemies both in front and behind them.
The following weapons are seen in the anime Schwarzesmarken.
