Reichs-Commissions-Revolver Modell 1879, more often referred as Reichsrevolver M1879, was service revolver of the German Army until 1908 when it was replaced by Luger P08. Later this revolver was used by non-frontline troops in WW1 and even in WW2.
Reichsrevolver M1883 (also called M1879/83) was a shortened version of M1879.
