Don't Say a Word is a 2001 thriller, directed by Gary Fleder (Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Homefront). It is based on the novel Don't Say a Word by Andrew Klavan. The film stars Michael Douglas as a psychiatrist, whose daughter is kidnapped by a group of men, who demand that he recovers a secret from the mind of a traumatized girl (Brittany Murphy).

Det. Sandra Cassidy (Jennifer Esposito) carries a Glock 17 as her sidearm throughout the film. Sanatorium guard Arnie (Lance Reddick) also carries a Glock 17 in the film, which Dr. Conrad (Michael Douglas) later takes from him. Koster later relieves Conrad of his Glock near the climax. NYPD officers also seem to use them as their sidearms in the film.
