Work In Progress
This article is still under construction. It may contain factual errors. See Talk:The Gunman for current discussions. Content is subject to change.
The following weapons were used in the film The Gunman:
Jim Terrier (Sean Penn) arms himself with a 2nd generation Glock 18C which is part of a supply drop in a safe hotel where he stays in Barcelona. He is seen using both regular and extended magazines, and makes use of semi-automatic and automatic fire.
Glock 26
A fourth generation Glock 26 is used by Cox (Mark Rylance) at the end of the film.
Unknown Glock
A full-size Glock is seen a few times during the film; in the holsters of Reed (Billy Bingingham) and other operatives at the beginning, holstered and wielded by several operatives during action scenes, including being holstered on Reiniger (Peter Franzén), and also briefly in the hands of Cox (Mark Rylance) in what appears to be a continuity error. It is unclear what caliber or model the pistols are.
Beretta Px4 Storm
A Beretta Px4 Storm is the sidearm used primarily by Reiniger (Peter Franzén), briefly unsuppressed at the aquarium, and then with a suppressor for the remainder of the film. One is also seen in the hands of Stanley (Ray Winstone).
Heckler & Koch USP
Heckler & Koch USPs are seen in the hands of several operatives. During the confrontation at the bullfighting ring near the end of the film, some operatives use suppressors on their USPs. Jim Terrier (Sean Penn) uses one that he takes from an operative.
Heckler & Koch USP Custom Sport
One operative is briefly seen with what appears to be the USP Custom Sport in Barcelona.
Submachine Guns
Brügger & Thomet APC9
The Brügger & Thomet APC9 is used by Jim Terrier (Sean Penn), relieved from an operative during the firefight at the country estate.
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is seen briefly at the end of the film, in the hands of INTERPOL agents.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500
What appears to be a Mossberg 500 with a high-capacity magazine tube is seen used by a guard protecting the relief effort when Jim returns to the DRC. It is also seen in the hands of Eugene (Ade Oyefeso).
Rifles & Carbines
M4A1
Jim Terrier (Sean Penn) and his fellow team members Reed (Billy Bingingham) and Bryson (Daniel Adegboyega) are seen armed with the M4A1 Carbine at the beginning of the film. Other operatives, including Cox (Mark Rylance) can also be seen with the M4A1 in the background.
FN SCAR-L
An 'indig' sent to kill Jim Terrier (Sean Penn) is armed with an FN SCAR-L rifle. Jim turns the rifle against its owner and then gives it to Eugene (Ade Oyefeso). An operative is briefly seen with a SCAR-L later on in the film, during the firefight at the country estate.
PGM Hecate II
Jim is seen using a PGM Hecate II as his chosen sniper weapon during the assassination.
DSR Precision DSR-1
A marksman uses a DSR-Precision DSR-1 during the firefight at the country estate in Barcelona.
AK Variant
A guard at the relief organization compound can be seen briefly with what appears to be an AK-pattern rifle with no magazine.
Grenades & Mines
M18A1 Claymore mine
Jim finds a Claymore mine set up at the safe hotel where he is staying.
M84 stun grenade
Jim uses an M84 stun grenade taken from an operative during the firefight at the country estate.
Unknown Grenades
Jim uses a pair of grenades taken from an operative during the firefight at the country estate. They appear to be deactivated gas or smoke grenades mocked up to appear as offensive grenades, and are depicted as such.
