Either way, I think the proper way to categorize weapons is to match it with a real life weapon of similar appearance and features, rather than rely on in-game classifications that may or may not be accurate. Lacking that though, the least you should expect is a breakdown of all the different individual weapons in-game. It would still leave an incomplete article, but at least it would be comprehensive in regards to the content of the actual game. I would try to make a better entry myself rather than undo the existing one, had I actually owned the game. But I have kinda stopped buying Ubisoft games because of the company's practices (Releasing broken, unoptimized and generally poorly designed games). :There's two different models for each of the in-game pistols, the set on the hips are different to the ones on the chest. I'll go back in and check, I'm playing Rogue at the moment but I've done some work fixing up the Black Flag page. RE
See, the BF: BC 2 is NOT the page to add gun information. If you have to add anything about those abbreviations, add them on the gun page but spare the game, movie pages as they should only contain information about how the guns appears in the respective media.--SB2296 16:32, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Filenames
Please don't upload images using the default filename from Steam: we prefer filenames that identify the images (eg Payday2-USP-1.jpg). Also make sure to categorise your images by adding {{SS}} to the upload form. Evil Tim (talk) 18:01, 5 December 2013 (EST)

Tried to replace the HK USP iron sight image with one consistent with the other iron sight images on the page, but that didn't work at all. I'm so confused.
But yeah, for new images I 'll make sure to name them properly. I'm not sure that I understand that categorizing thing though. How do I format that?

- The new version of the image would be seen after some time, or you can change the size of the thumbnail for 1 px (for example, from 400 to 401, and the new version would be seen immediately). To categorize the image, place [[Category:Screenshot]] or {{SS}}. To sign your posts, use ~~~~. Greg-Z (talk) 11:07, 6 December 2013 (EST)
- You can't change the filename of an existing image except by moving it, I'll do that with the existing ones soon. To change the filename when uploading, change the name in the "filename" box (don't forget to put .jpg on the end, or it won't save). To add categories, put them in the empty text box that appears below the filename.
- The reason this is an issue is because if someone else took pictures on the same day they'll have the same filenames and might end up overwriting someone else's. Also when IMFDB is still around in ten thousand years someone might overwrite your images with pictures of Smith & Wessalien Model 3 Cryogenic Hyperblasters and we can't have that. I understand what you mean and I'm very grateful that you explain this stuff. It's been quite some while since I last uploaded anything here and even back then I didn't know most of this stuff. - Mutant1988.
Assassin's Creed
I believe the article is still incomplete since it lacks most of the pistols, I didn't look too closely and didn't realise they were different shots, but I think the first picture is of a weapon actually called "pirate blunderbusses" in the game and which shares all the features one would expect of a Dragon (pistol-size blunderbuss). Also, please sign your comments with four of these ~ Evil Tim (talk) 07:22, 12 October 2015 (EDT)
I did have a look at the Assassin's Creed Wikia and looked through their weapon entries and I personally can't find a single weapon that matches the appearance of those in the first image. The Pirate Blunderbuss is the closest match, but it has a one-piece barrel rather than the segmented muzzle flare of the one in the game screenshot. It's entirely possible that the images in the in-game encyclopaedia differs from the in-game models.
