There Once Was a Cop (Original title: Byl jednou jeden polda) is a 1995 Czech comedy film directed by Jaroslav Soukup. It is a Czech variation on the American film series Police Academy. Starring Ladislav Potmesil, Simona Krainová, Miroslav Moravec and Rudolf Hrusínský Jr..
