In "Don't Discuss Your Life Before" (S01E02) Sheriff Arnold Pope ([[Terrence Howard]]) is seen holding, what appears to be, a [[Mossberg 500]] on Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke ([[Matt Dillon]]) on 2 separate occasions. Ethan Burke is seen taking this shotgun from the gun rack in the Sheriffs station in "One of Our Senior Realtors Has Chosen to Retire" (S01E04), which he is then seen using during the opening of "The Truth" (S01E05) to defend himself from an 'Abbie'. Ethan Burke again uses the Mossberg in "A Reckoning" (S01E09) and "Cycle" (S01E10). Members of "the first generation" also use Mossberg 500's albeit with wooden furniture in "A Reckoning" (S01E09). Tim Bell ([[Chad Krowchuk]]) is seen with one in "Cycle" (S01E10).

Heckler & Koch Mp5A3s are seen used by both Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon) and Kate Ballinger (Carla Gugino) in "Cycle" (S01E10), although there variants differ, Ethan's having the semi/burst/FA selector and Kate's just being Safe/Fire.
