:With this entry and the one below, you've actually got a single gun identified as two separate weapons. The weapon in question is a Sterling SMG, not a Sten. It can be identified by the distinctive folding stock, seen fully extended in the screenshot.--[[User:Phillb36|Phillb36]] 03:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

==Unknown SMG==
One of Lincoln's thugs is seen armed with an Unknown SMG. I over looked it as an MP40, but now I realize it isn't. Can't seem to match it to anything.

:::How could it be an M3A1? This weapon doesn't have a bolt handle, it has a finger notch in the bolt. Plus the weapon in the screenshot has no ejection port cover, which it would if it was an M3A1. The stock is clearly an MP40 folding type, not a sliding stock as on the M3A1. I would say it could be a Star Z-45, the Spanish copy of the MP40, which does have the bolt on the right side. The only problem is that the barrel doesn't look like what is found on a Z-45. Or it could just be a trick of the light that makes it appear as there is a bolt on the right side, and it's actually just an MP40.--[[User:Phillb36|Phillb36]] 03:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) carries a Taurus 4510 Judge revolver in 410 Gauge and .45 Long Colt as his backup gun in the film. The gun's ultimate power is grossly misinterpreted, since Hollywood sees this as simply a "shotgun revolver", when infact the .45 Long Colt it fires has more effective stopping power than the birdshot rounds it typically fires (based on the shot pattern left by the gun in the film, it is assumed he uses birdshot). In both scenes it is seen firing, it inaccurately fires six shots when the cylinder only holds five.
Charter Arms Undercover
A Charter Arms Undercover hammerless is seen on the table when Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) is cleaning and loading his guns. It is assumed he keeps this as an ankle gun, but this is the only instance it is seen in the film.
SIG-Sauer P226R
BB's right hand man (name?) uses a SIG-Sauer P226R as his sidearm. When he is killed by Mona Sax (Mila Kunis), she gives the gun to Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg), who uses it when confronting BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) on the roof.
Flintlock Muskets and Pistols
A glass display case is seen in BB's office filled with several flintlock rifles/muskets and pistols. In the film it is not seen clearly so a promotional image is used.
Heckler & Koch MP5KA4
Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) carries a Heckler & Koch MP5KA4 fitted with a 15 round magazine as an unconventional sidearm hidden under her jacket by a sling. During the final assault, Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) wields two MP5Ks akimbo, effectively dispatching corrupt police by the dozens. When Max confronts BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) on the building rooftop, BB fires on Max with an MP5K, but it runs empty before he can score a fatal hit.
Members of the corrupt SWAT team in the Aesir building fire on Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) with Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns with tactical tri-rails.
M4A1
The corrupted SWAT team are seen armed with M4A1 Carbines during the shootout in the Aesir building. Regular NYPD are later seen using them as well.
In Lincoln's hideout, an FN FAL is seen among the weapons in his collection.
MP40
One of Lincoln's thugs is seen armed with an MP40 submachine gun.
Sten Mk II
A Sten Mk II is seen laying on the table in front of Lincoln.

Out of curiosity, how do we know that it's not an MP40?
It's got a bolt on the right side, the sights are all the way on the back of the gun, and it is too long. - Gunmaster45

AKM
Several AKMs fitted with East-German style blank firing adapters are seen in Lincoln's gun collection.
SIG SG-552
SIG SG-552 carbines are carried by several Aesir Corporation bodyguards in the film.
Mossberg 590 shotguns are used by several of the corrupt SWAT team members in the Aesir building. Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) uses one during the final battle at the end of the film.
Mossberg 500
A Mossberg 500 is seen during the credit sequence composed of CGI. Of equal note is the appearance of a Mossberg 500 "Cruiser" in the credits. Neither are seen in the actual film.
Winchester 1300 Defender
Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) uses a pistol gripped Winchester 1300 Defender to clear out the drug warehouse. In the typical hollywood fashion, anyone hit with the shotgun blast is launched 10 feet back, which doesn't happen in real life.
Remington 870
During the final battle, several Aesir guards wield both full length and pistol gripped Remington 870 shotguns. Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) picks up a pistol gripped model and uses it to dispatch some guards before the drugs he took over power him.
IMI Tavor CTAR-21
Two of the thugs in the warehouse use IMI Tavor CTAR-21 rifles, one of which has open sights.
Colt Detective Special
While at the train station, a junkie pulls a Colt Detective Special with a spurred hammer on Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) before he dissarms him and tosses it in the running sink.
When the film flashes back and we see Max come home to find his family murdered, he dispatches several of Aesir's hired thugs with his issued Colt Detective Special, which makes sense for him to use since before he started working Cold Case, he was a Detective.
Glock 17
While Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) is hallucinating in the Aesir building, one Aesir guard tries to sneak up on him armed with a Glock 17 but is gunned down by Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) first.
M1911A1
BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) carries an M1911A1 as his sidearm in the film, and uses it to shoot at Max (Mark Wahlberg) as he runs away.
Lt. Jim Bravura (Ludacris) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 10 Heavy Barrel as his sidearm in the film and holds it on Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) when he confronts him in the Aesir building.
