To encourage assimilation into society, exchange programs are made for these creatures to live with ordinary families. Ms. Smith, one of the interspecies exchange coordinator, "accidentally" drops of Mia at his house. Now Kurusu must take responsibility to caring for Mia without 1. Breaking any Interspecies Exchange Laws, 2. Falling for seduction methods by his housemates, 3.
