The Last of the Finest is a 1990 crime drama directed by John Mackenzie (The Long Good Friday) and stars Brian Dennehy as Det. Frank Daly, the head of an LAPD narcotics unit, who finds himself having to go underground when his unit discovers a conspiracy involving drug dealers and rogue US government operatives. The cast included Joe Pantoliano, Jeff Fahey, and Bill Paxton.

The Beretta 92FS is the handgun carried by Det. Ricky Rodriguez (Jeff Fahey).

A nickel-plated Colt Python is the revolver carried by Det. Howard "Hojo" Jones (Bill Paxton).

High Standard K-1200 Riot Deluxe Shotgun
The High Standard K-1200 Riot Deluxe Shotgun is used by several LAPD officers, including Frank.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch HK94A3 (chopped and converted)
Frank is seen using Heckler & Koch HK94A3 with 16" barrel chopped and converted to resemble an MP5A3 during a shootout. The weapon is fitted with a Surefire light dedicated forend and has three mags taped together "jungle style".
MAC-10
The MAC-10 is used by thugs throughout the film.
