Nambu
I'm not sure what it is, but I'm pretty sure that's not a 94. The barrel is narrower, the frame doesn't extend underneath the barrel, and the rear sight is wrong.--PistolJunkie 17:44, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
I had my doubts about it too, I only put it there since I had no other guesses. The frame's too big to be the other Nambu, either. Time to hit the internet. BeardedHoplite 18:29, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
Maybe a Papa Nambu? http://members.shaw.ca/nambuworld2/papagallery.htm BeardedHoplite 18:38, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
The Papa Nambu is a variant of the Nambu Type A 1902. The rear sights on the gun in the movie are different from any of the 1902s and the top of the frame (slide?) is too angular.--PistolJunkie 21:31, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
Fudge. BeardedHoplite 21:51, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
The unidentified pistol is an Italian Model 1910 Glisenti. I reckon they couldn't get a hold of a Nambu. The Glisenti looks similar to the 1902 'Papa' Nambu. IMHO, the Nambu is a better weapon. The Glisenti is definitely an odd piece. I can't ever recall seeing one in a film before.
Thanks for the ID. Just make sure that you properly format (and alter, the description still said "unidentified") any changes. And be sure to sign your posts.--PistolJunkie 02:57, 24 October 2011 (CDT)
P38
A P38 is used to assassinate the Emperor's Driver in Manchukuo. The external hammer can be seen in the second image. This weapon would technically be an anachronism as it was never comercially available. These are the best screencaps I can get at the mo... --Maskedweasel (talk) 18:20, 5 May 2015 (EDT)
