The Presidio is a 1988 thriller that involves an SFPD inspector (Mark Harmon) and an Army Lt. Colonel (Sean Connery) who work together to investigate the murder of an MP on the US Army installation at the Presidio in San Francisco. Directed by Peter Hyams (End of Days, Timecop), the film co-stars Meg Ryan and Jack Warden.
The following weapons were used in the film The Presidio:
Howard Buckley (Don Calfa), a crazed suspect, is seen taking what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 19 from an SFPD Inspector and holding it on Austin at the film's beginning.
Austin gives Lt. Col. Alan Caldwell (Sean Connery) what appears to be a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 19 to use during the shootout at the water plant.
Sgt. Major MacClure (Jack Warden) is seen using an M1911A1 with custom grips to threaten Peale at the end of the film. This gun was given to him by Caldwell (Sean Connery) after MacClure saved his life in Vietnam. Caldwell is also seen using it during water plant shootout.
During the final shootout, Peale's henchman Mark (Patrick Kilpatrick) uses the Heckler & Koch SP89 with the forearm removed against Caldwell and Austin. Other henchmen are seen using the H&K's with the foregrips.
