Welcome to IMFDB

Before you do any editing please take the time to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. This is a very important document that explains how this website is setup as well as telling you what is and isn't allowed. If it is determined by an admin that you have not read these rules, your account will be suspended. Continued non-compliance may result in a permanent ban.

There are a number of pages that desperately need your help. You can find these Incomplete pages here.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here but make sure to sign your post by typing --~~~~.

Finally, IMFDB has a forum set up here that is only available to registered members. There is lots of good stuff to see there. Please register yourself an account using the same username you used to register here.

Now, HAPPY EDITING! Zackmann08 20:41, 3 September 2012 (CDT)

Formatting

When editing pages like The Green Berets, please follow the style already established on the site. You can take a look at a page such as Saving Private Ryan or the Talk:IMFDB Style Guide page for assistance. --Ben41 (talk) 22:41, 22 January 2013 (EST)

Please add a picture of the weapon when adding entries to a movie page. You can search for "AR7" and find another page that has the rifle and copy and paste the editing code. Take a look at the IMFDB Style Guide on how to contribute to a movie page. If you continue to not follow the proper style format, you will be subject to a possible banning of editing privileges. --Ben41 (talk) 19:36, 25 January 2013 (EST)

How many times do we have to ask you to properly format your edits? --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:31, 26 January 2013 (EST)
And can you be a little more specific as to WHERE the AR-7 is? Going through an entire battle scene trying to find a .22 rifle is not going to be easy. --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:49, 25 January 2013 (EST)

Gene Autry

Creating pages for actors with only red links to movie pages is the wrong thing. We need at least one movie page where this actor has appeared. So I'll move the text to discussion page where it would be kept until the movie page would appear. Greg-Z (talk) 04:25, 6 December 2014 (EST)

Greg beat me to it. If you want a Gene Autry page, make page for a Gene Autry movie. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:56, 6 December 2014 (EST)

Check your spelling

When adding entries to pages, please check your spelling and grammar before finalizing. You made many mistakes on your entry for The Twilight Zone and you didn't seem to try to make any corrections. Also, if you are going to add any more comments to existing entries, make sure you have something specific. Just putting a generic sentence on the M1911 entry is not acceptable. --Ben41 (talk) 02:36, 3 January 2015 (EST)

Twilight Zone

If you want to add entries, you have to be specific in what episode the weapons appear in and you have to make sure you use correct spelling and grammar. I've fixed the entries for your reference on the proper format for inputting new weapons on the page. --Ben41 (talk) 08:38, 3 January 2015 (EST)

Sorry for my errors I was updating the page and watching the show at 3: in the morning so I was a bit tired. Thanks for helping with the show page. Ireally like the show and want to try to list evrything from it some day. --Jamesmac1801

Capitalize

Don't just write down the entry without checking your capitalization and punctuation ("nickel" should not be capitalized and "Season" should). I don't want to have to keep correcting you. Also, please add the season number and the episode number along with the title of the episode. Please take a look at the IMFDB Style Guide for more help. --Ben41 (talk) 19:29, 3 January 2015 (EST)
