While the MKII wasn't around in 1963 when the launch of the project took place, IIRC the MKI in that configuration was around.Off topic, I believe the Ruger Standard inspired several Sci-fi ray gun illustrations and iT for years and years cost $37.50 :)

Good point, I only identified it as a MkII because of the adjustable rear sights and the length of the front sight (never seen a MkI with one that protrudes so far back along the barrel).
