V: The Final Battle (1984)

V: The Final Battle is the 1984 sequel miniseries to V. The story continues as the Resistance finds new allies and a new weapon that hopefully will defeat the Visitors' plan to take over the planet. Several characters would continue to be seen on a weekly basis in V: The Series.

The following weapons were used in the miniseries V: The Final Battle:

Rifles

M16A1

At the beginning of the miniseries, the Resistance including Juliet Parish (Faye Grant) are seen assaulting a Visitor food processing plant with M16A1 rifles. The weapons had little effect against the Visitors' armor with conventional "ball" ammunition. When the L.A. Resistance were provided Teflon-coated bullets by Ham Tyler (Michael Ironside) later in the series, their M16A1 rifles proved to be effective weapons in fighting the Visitor shocktroopers. M16A1 rifles were also seen in the hands of LAPD SWAT officers when the LAPD and the Visitor forces raided the Resistance's first headquarters.
