The MAC Mle 1950 (also known as the MAC-50 or the MAS Mle. 1950) is an improved version of the MAS M1935S that was adopted by the French military in 1950 as a replacement for the M1935 series of pistols. Produced by Manufacture d'Armes de Chatellerault (MAC) between 1953 and 1963 and later by Manufacture d'Armes de Saint Etienne (MAS) from 1966 to 1978, the MAC Mle 1950 remained in French military service until 2010 when it was superceded by the PAMAS G1.
