::It definitely has a gun in it. You can see the butt of it in several scenes, noticeably as he is climbing in and out of the train engine near the end. The shape of the holster and the appearance of the butt tell me it's a P38. Just my two cents. I chose that particular screenshot because you could see the shape of the holster. I believe there's a few handguns in the movie. Pilzer uses one, and von Waldheim also tries to draw his own sidearm at the end but is restrained by Herren. I'll see about some screengrabs. Kooshmeister (talk) 23:32, 4 June 2014 (EDT)

Regarding the Id of the Walther PPK, the screencap shows the muzzle of a Beretta M 1934.--Tecolote (talk) 01:41, 5 June 2014 (EDT)

P38

We're making too many assumptions regarding the holster, like that there's a gun in there in the first place. And even if it did have a gun, it could just as easily be a PP or a Luger. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:39, 3 July 2014 (EDT)

Major Herren (Wolfgang Preiss) has what appears to be a holstered Walther P38.
