One of Mick's weapons seen in the torture shed is mostlikely a stainless steel 6" [[Colt Python]] revolver with rubber grips chambered in .357 Magnum. There are no close-ups of the weapon but it can be identified by the ventilated barrel rim. Liz picks up the weapon and loads it with shells but later loses the weapon.

It is hard to determine the make and model, and as a result, could easily be a similar design, such as a [[Rossi Model 851]] or [[Taurus Model 689]], but being a Colt Python, a known movie gun, is more likely.

Wolf Creek (2005)

Wolf Creek is a 2005 Australian horror film about three backpackers who find themselves held captive in the Australian outback by a sadistic serial killer. Based somewhat on the true stories of serial killer Ivan Milat and the murder of Peter Falconio and the assault of his girlfriend Joanne Lees.

The following weapons were used in the film Wolf Creek:

Remington Model 541

One of Mick Taylor's (John Jarratt) primary weapons seems to be a vintage Remington 541 or 581 rimfire rifle chambered in .22LR. It is used by Mick to terrorize his victims and later briefly by Liz (Cassandra Magrath).

Coincidentally, the 541 was discontinued in 1999, when the film takes place.

Tikka 595

Mick Taylor's long-range sniper rifle seen during the infamous road scene appears to be a Tikka 595 in .308 caliber. It is not the Remington seen earlier, noted by the stock and magazine.

Its appearance is quite accurate for the film; Tikkas are popular in Australia, along with Sakos.

Colt Python

One of Mick's weapons seen in the torture shed is mostlikely a stainless steel 6" Colt Python revolver with rubber grips chambered in .357 Magnum. There are no close-ups of the weapon but it can be identified by the ventilated barrel rim. Liz (Cassandra Magrath) picks it up and loads it with shells (either .38s or .357s) but later loses the weapon.

It is hard to determine the make and model, and as a result, could easily be a similar design, such as a Rossi Model 851 or Taurus Model 689, but being a Colt Python, a known movie gun, is more likely.
