The following weapons were used in the television series NCIS:
SIG-Sauer P229
Gibbs, DiNozzo, McGee, and Ziva all carry SIG-Sauer P229s, and it seems to be NCIS standard issue. Gibbs owns two of these pistols and spends more time than the rest cleaning them, and Ziva sleeps with hers in hand. They all carry them in paddle holsters, except in season one when DiNozzo used a Jack leather shoulder holster.
The Sig P229 is the standard issue firearm for the secret service and other federal agencies. The P229 looks very much like the discontinued P228 pistol shown in the photo however it was upgraded and changed to the P229.
Yes, though it is true NCIS changed their Issue firearm to the Sig 229s, Agents already issued a P228 have the option of keeping it.
Gibbs, DiNozzo, McGee, and Ziva still carry their 228s, as do FBI Agent Fornell.
It is clear that Gibbs is carrying the P228 (Notice the longer/P228 style cocking serrations, as opposed to the P229.) http://www.cbs.com/primetime/ncis/photos/photos.php?v=22641&s=2&p=1

Glock 19
Colt 1911A1
Mike Franks uses this in the Episodes Jugdement Day parts 1 and 2. It also makes an aperrance in Deliverance. It is also used by varius characters in the series.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
Used as Ziva's backup gun, a go-to gun in Gibbs' basement, and as DiNozzo's jogging gun.
Walther P99 compact
Seen In the season five finale, it belonged to Mike Franks and was a clean gun, meaning no registration number, a throw away gun. It was used by Former Director Jenny Shepard in her last gun fight.
- The gun seen in the above picture is NOT a P99C, but instead a late-model Walther P99QA (hard to pin down whether it's a 2nd or 3rd generation, since it has the extended magazine release lever, but not the extended slide release). The P99 Compact will be significantly smaller, both in barrel and slide length and overall height. - --Clutch 03:53, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
