Since the VC only attacked at night, it really wasn't possible for me to get caps of any of their weapons. You may notice that many of the nighttime caps have muzzle flashes, some of which were necessary as there were no other sources of light. Others come from when there are flares overhead.--Funkychinaman 01:26, 23 August 2012 (CDT)

Mauser 1871/84

Are we sure it's a 71/84? The bolt looks to short, there's only one barrel band, and it's lacking a cleaning rod (although it could have been removed deliberately). I ain't an expert in Mausers, but I'd guess it's an early turn-of-the-century model. I'd guess it to be a 93 or 95 based on the straight handle of the stock, but it doesn't have the barrel band spring? My next guess was maybe a Turkish, but the grip on that is almost always curved, as far as I know. Any Mauser enthusiasts wanna give it a crack? --ZeoRanger5 02:13, 23 August 2012 (CDT)

Good point. I started going down the list, and I thought I struck gold immediately. I'll take another look. --Funkychinaman 06:24, 23 August 2012 (CDT)
