Fort Saganne is a 1984 French war film directed by Alain Corneau on based a novel of the same name by Louis Gardel. Story of the young officer-volunteer in the Sahara, who in 1911 leads a valliant defense against Sultan Omar. Starring Gérard Depardieu, Philippe Noiret, Catherine Deneuve, and Sophie Marceau.

Lebel 1886 Rifle
French and Arabic soldiers mainly carry Lebel 1886 rifles. Also Lt. Saganne (Gérard Depardieu) uses this weapon.
Berthier Model 1907-15 Rifle
Some Arabians are armed with Berthier Model 1907-15 rifles.
1903 Turkish Mauser Rifle
One of Arabian fighters is seen with a 1903 Turkish Mauser rifle.
