Against the Law is a 1997 action movie directed by Jim Wynorski. Rex (Richard Grieco) considers himself a modern gunslinger and "the fastest gun". He drives from Arizona to Los Angeles, leaving behind him multiply bodies of police officers who were not fast enough. Rex's main target is a LAPD Det. Shepard (Nick Mancuso), a hard-drinking cop who by chance became a star of LA police.
The following weapons were used in the film Against the Law:
Most LAPD officers, detectives and SWAT troopers carry Beretta 92FS pistols. In the final scene John Shepard (Nick Mancuso) uses a Beretta, given to him by Lt. Carpenter (Steven Ford). Rex (Richard Grieco) also uses a Beretta that was taken from one of police officers whom he had killed.
Smith & Wesson 3913
Several characters are seen with Smith & Wesson 3913 pisols. It can be supposed that there is only one such piece in the movie.
Unidentified pistol
D.J. (Billy Gallo) carries a compact pistol that resemble Glock 19 but not for sure.
Glock 26
In several scenes Rex (Richard Grieco) is seen with a Glock subcompact pistol, supposedly a Glock 26.
Several pistols that appear in various scenes aren't seen clear enough to be identified.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
The robber in liquor store (Cole S. McKay) is armed with a double barreled shotgun with sawn-off stock. After Rex (Richard Grieco) kills the robber, he takes his shotgun and uses it in the shootout with Shepard and D.J.
Remington Model 870
A Remington Model 870 is carried by Det. Ben Hamada (James Stephens) during the shootout with drug dealers. In the scene of the police ambush several SWAT troopers also carry Model 870s. In the final scene Model 870 is one of the weapons carried by John Shepard (Nick Mancuso).
Mossberg 590 Mariner Cruiser
One of Lars Reder's bodyguards is armed with a nickel plated Mossberg 590 Mariner Cruiser with high-capacity magazine tube. The same shotgun (and supposedly the same movie prop) is seen in hands of a bartender in the scene when Shepard brawls with a security guard.
Assault Rifles
M16A1
In the scene of the police ambush Rex (Richard Grieco) is armed with M16A1. He fires his weapon only in semi-auto mode.
