She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is a 1949 American western directed by John Ford, starring John Wayne and much of the "John Ford Stock Company", including John Agar, Ben Johnson, Harry Carey Jr. and Victor McLaglen. It is the middle film of John Ford's so-called "Cavalry Trilogy" (which includes 1948's Fort Apache and 1950's Rio Grande) and oddly enough, the only one of the three filmed in color. It would go on to win the 1950 Academy Award for Best Color Cinematography.
The following weapons are used in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon:
Springfield Model 1873 Cavalry Carbine
The main weapon of the cavalry is the Springfield Model 1873 Cavalry Carbine.
Winchester Model 1873
Some of the Native Americans in the film are armed with Winchester Model 1873 carbines.
Remington Rolling Block
The Sudrow boy (uncredited) carries what appears to be a Remington Rolling Block rifle.
Colt Single Action Army
All of the cavalry troopers are presumably armed with Colt Single Action Army revolvers, as it is only shown close up in one scene.
