Like Season 1, Season 3 of Archer kicked off in September along with its FX stablemate It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, only this time with a three-parter that picked up right where the second season left off. The rest of the season 3 episodes would not air until January of 2012.
The following weapons were used in Season 3 of the television series Archer:
Sterling Archer's primary sidearm is a Walther PPK. According to a DVD special feature and the companion book How to Archer: The Ultimate Guide to Espionage and Style and Women and Also Cocktails Ever Written, his PPK is chambered in .32 ACP.
Ray's brother Randy uses a Mossberg 500 in "Bloody Ferlin" (S03E09).
Submachine Guns
TEC-9
Lana's primary weapon remains the TEC-9 in Season 3.
Uzi
Another Cuban hit squad is seen armed with Uzis in "The Man from Jupiter" (S03E04). The Yakuza have them in "Drift Problem" (S03E07).
Rifles
AK-47
The AK-47 shows up numerous times during the series. They appear to be based on real AK-47s, with the milled receiver and open-topped front sight.
M14
Cyril and Calzado hunt for Archer and Lana with M14s in the Colombian jungle before Cyril catches up with Lana in "El Contador" (S03E05). Randy Gillette has one in "Bloody Ferlin" (S03E09) that fires full auto.
XM16E1
Archer and Lana carry XM16E1 rifles in "El Contador" (S03E05). They are armed with them again in "Drift Problem" (S03E07). Like all the other guns, the animators often mix up the sides.
Machine Guns
Hybrid M60
In "Heart of Archness Pt.III" (S03E03) Lana fires on pirates with a hybrid M60 door gun from a UH-1 Huey. This M60 has spade grips like a M60D but still retains the forward hand guard.
Browning M1919
A pair of Browning M1919 machine guns deploy from the grill of the Dodge Challenger Special Agent Edition in "Drift Problem".
Grenades/Explosives
Mk 2 hand grenade
Mk 2 hand grenades are seen throughout the season, sometimes as frags and sometimes as flash-bangs, although the same animation model is used.
The "M41 Mark 2 Plasma Pulse Rifle" is used by ISIS and mutineers in the two part episode "Space Race". It has an underbarrel concussion grenade launcher. It bears some resemblance to the M41A Pulse Rifle.
"Ion Cannon"
The mutineers on the Horizon fire a bazooka-like "ion cannon" towards the ISIS team in "Space Race: Part II" (S03E12).
Oerlikon 20mm Cannon
The main armament of the pirate ship appears to be an Oerlikon 20mm Cannon in "Heart of Archness, Part I" (S03E01).
SS-1 Scud missile
Two SS-1 Scud transporter erector launcher are shown in "Space Race: Part I" (S03E12).
