| ==Weapon ID==
| |
| First off, this girl is my idol and I love to see she handles weapons so well on screen. Anyway, these are a few photos from one of her movies, Hick, where a revolver features prominently. Can anyone ID it? I'd really like to make a page for it. Chloe refers to it as a "Smith and Wesson .45" throughout, which makes me think S&W Model 10. --PyramidHead (talk) 20:03, 21 January 2014 (EST)

| : I don't see how it being a .45 makes it a Model 10, since that's a .38 revolver. That said, in these images the gun looks to have a rather large cylinder, which might actually make it a .45-sized revolver (The revolver also looks like it has a shrouded ejector rod, though its hard to tell). If so, the only appropriate one would be the Model 22 (the commercial WWII M1917 revolver for .45ACP/.45 Auto Rim), but if so that'd be a rarity. If you can get screencaps, set up the page so it can be discussed further there. StanTheMan (talk) 21:20, 21 January 2014 (EST)

| I think it is a S&W M1917 Revolver with an shorten barrel kind of like the one Harrison Ford used in the Raiders of the Lost Ark

| If you look at these screenshots from the film they look similar to the S&W used in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Gunfan2818 (talk)

| :Might sound a bit odd, but I think it might actually be based on a British Smith & Wesson Mk II Hand Ejector in .455 caliber that has been converted to .45 Long Colt (a relatively easy and common thing to do). If you look at the barrel markings they are pretty suspect, with the different parts not lining up, not to mention I doubt S&W would ever stamp "Colt" on one of their guns. It looks to me that the second "5" has been overstamped with the "Colt". Also, note the british broof mark behind the barrel on the frame, along with the fact that the British Mk II Hand Ejector is the only S&W I can come up with that has the correct relative position of "Smith & Wesson" to the ejector lug (by that I mean the "SON" of Wesson being directly above the lug). --commando552 (talk) 20:08, 24 January 2014 (EST)

| ::: Wow, thanks, I guessed it was a M10 because that is one of the most common S&W revolvers in cinema and the fact she referred to it as a .45 was a mistake on the writer's part. I may go ahead and make this page. Permission to use those screencaps? I have no means to get them myself... --PyramidHead (talk) 20:22, 25 January 2014 (EST)

| Would it be alright to move all this to the discussion page for the film, since there is now a film page and it's a bit more relevant to said film rather than just the actress?
