:No, the rifles are never shown clear enough to tell for sure. All we have to go by as confirmation are behind-the-scenes stuff. Though A2s would make more sense since those on the ground soonest would be National Guard, and Clover arrived in pretty much the blink of an eye. I think at the first battle scene I saw a soldier in the back with a very short rocket launcher, which is too short for AT4 or Javelin.  Could that be a Predator/SRAW?

Kind of odd that a B-2 would be called in to strike a target which doesn't require it to evade radar or air defense. Seems like a B-52 or B-1, both of which can carry significantly larger bomb loads, would be a better option considering absolutely ''nothing'' was known about this creature and it would make sense to throw as much hate as you can possibly muster at it (as in, multiple bombers one after the other and maybe a few cruise missiles for good measure). Say what you want, but "rule of cool" doesn't always make sense. [[User:Spartan198|Spartan198]] ([[User talk:Spartan198|talk]]) 16:47, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

MT2008, I read that do to shooting in NY, too many noise complaints forced the filmakers to use Flashbulb guns and post production edits for a lot of the movie. Figured you could use the info somewhere. -GM

Yep, I heard the same thing. I mentioned it under the M16A2 entry. Also, some of the M16s are quite clearly the flashbulb guns. -MT2008

Aren't they M16A4's instead of M16A2's?

It's hard to tell, but a publicity photo on IMFDB shows a soldier holding an M16A2.

Stealth bomber

Kind of odd that a B-2 would be called in to strike a target which doesn't require it to evade radar or air defense. Seems like a B-52 or B-1, both of which can carry significantly larger bomb loads, would be a better option considering absolutely nothing was known about this creature and it would make sense to throw as much hate as you can possibly muster at it (as in, multiple bombers one after the other and maybe a few cruise missiles for good measure).
