Cartouche is a 1962 French historical adventure film directed by Philippe de Broca. The story takes place in early 18th century Paris as Louis Dominique Bourguignon (Jean-Paul Belmondo), nicknamed Cartouche, becomes an heroic outlaw making audacious robberies and distributing to the poor. However, he falls for the icy beauty of noblewoman Isabelle de Ferrussac (Odile Versois), who's none other than the wife of the chief of police.
