Darkest of Days is a first-person shooter that tells the story of Alexander Morris, a soldier fighting during Custer's Last Stand at Little Bighorn, who is suddenly dragged through time and becomes a post-22nd century agent who goes through time to find two other soldiers who are the key to the future. He travels to several different eras, including Antietam, World War 1, World War 2, and Pompeii during the Mount Vesuvius Eruption.
The following weapons appear in video game Darkest of Days:
Handguns
Colt 1860 Army
First Weapon used by Alexander Morris, at the Little Bighorn battle and later used during the Antietam Campaign, it is shown to be inaccurately able to reload by breaking the barrel open and swapping the cylinders out, it can also later be upgraded to ridiculously hold more than six bullets.
Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" Pistol
Machine pistol used by the player during World War 1. Anachronistic as the full-auto versions of the C96 did not exist until the 1920s. The reload animation has a goof. The stripper clip's rounds are stripped into the sights rather than through the ejection port into the magazine.
Luger P08
German Siderarm used during both WW1 and WW2, this version is based off of the Long Barreled Artillery Model.
"Automatic Machine Pistol-60"
Futuristic flechette rifle given to the player on random occasions. Often the player uses futuristic weaponry on opponents wielding primitive weaponry such as muskets and bronze swords.
"DNGr Pistol"
The DNGr Pistol is a post-22nd century side-arm.
Rifles
1860 Henry
Used during Antietam and Little Bighorn, the flip sight is always raised on the rifle, it is shown to be inaccurately able to reload through a side gate, when it is actually loaded from the magazine tube under the barrel.
Springfield Musket
Appears in Antietam, with a fixed bayonet that can be used, slow reload but is very accuarate, it should be noted that when reloaded a percussion cap is not placed on the gun.
Morgan James Rifle
The Morgan James Rifle is used during the Antietam campaign. Good for distance, but like the Springfield Musket has slow reload time. Also like the Springfield Musket, a percussion cap is never placed during the reload animation. The weapon also appears wrapped in burlap sacking to camouflage it.
Gewehr 1898 Rifle
German Bolt Action Rifle used during both the World War 1 and World War 2 campaigns, There is both a Infantry and Sniper version
Mosin Nagant
The M1891 Mosin-Nagant Infantry Rifle, or as it is referred to in-game, the Nagant, is a bolt-action, 7.62mm Rifle from the 20th century era, available in reasonable supply in any World War I level, used exclusively by the Russians, has fixed bayonet.
Submachine Guns
MP-34
Early Model German Sub-machinegun that is used by German troops in WW2 used with a snail magazine.
"Assault Rifle-55"
Futuristic Assault Rifle, that is given to the player, to even the odds per say
Machine Guns
Maxim Gun
German belt-fed Machine gun used in all of WW1 and in WW2.
Shotguns
"C07 Shotgun"
Futuristic semi-auto shotgun.
"MA-22 Rocket Launcher"
Futuristic rocket launcher. In-game footage shows the MA-22 similar to the FGM-148 Javelin, except on steroids.
Flamethrowers
"FMG Heat Gun"
Futuristic Flamethrower that is wielded by the player during the Pompeii Mission
