Nice, but where's the trigger?

This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it.

Rebuild of Evangelion is a four-film series from Studio Gainax that is a remake of the Neon Genesis Evangelion television series. Each movie is given a numerical designation (1.0, 2.0, etc.) upon its theatrical release. The number is then amended (1.1, 1.11, etc.) for its home video releases as more footage is added.

Currently two of three Rebuild films have been released and the third is slated for fall of 2012.

  • Evangelion: 1.XX You Are (Not) Alone
  • Evangelion: 2.XX You Can (Not) Advance
  • Evangelion: 3.XX You Can (Not) Redo
  • Evangelion: Final (working title)

The following firearms can be seen in the Rebuild of Evangelion film series:

Pistols

Glock 17

Ryoji Kaji is seen in the Evangelion 3.0 trailer aiming what resembles a Glock 17 with a laser sight mounted underneath the barrel. It cannot be determined if it's a 3rd/4th generation Glock 17-type pistol.

3rd Generation Glock 17 - 9x19mm. Note the finger grooves, thumb reliefs, and accessory rail on the frame, which differentiate it from the older model.

Kaji aiming the Glock 17 in the Evangelion 3.0 preview. It appears this preview was designed to mislead, since this scene never actually happens in the third movie.

Submachine Guns

Heckler and Koch MP7A1

NERV Tactical soldiers can be seen armed with what appear to be Heckler & Koch MP7A1 submachine guns.

Mounted Weapons

Bofors 40mm

Misato's fleet, seen in the third movie, includes a number of Iowa-class battleships. Strangely, these are shown in their WW2 configuration, with multiple Bofors 40mm quad installations which were removed from all real Iowas during their refits.

M269 Launcher Loader Module
