City Hunter TV Series (2011)



City Hunter (Hangul: 시티헌터) is a 2011 South Korean television drama series. It was created by Tsukasa Hojo. It was Directed by Jun Hyuk. The series is based on the Japanese manga of the same name. It premiered on May 25th, 2011 and finished airing in July 28th 2011. The series follows a man named Lee Min-Hoh also known as Buchai trying to enact revenge on those who betrayed his father, while on a mission in North Korea. In 1983 in Burma, the South Korean President is visiting and while he is visiting a bomb kills multiple high level South Korean officials. This incident sparks five individuals to create a counter-strike operation called "Operation Cleansweep". The plan is to send in a team to kill several high ranking north Korean officials. Two presidential body guards who were witnesses to the bombing volunteer to take part in the mission. The two presidential body guards are Lee Jin-pyo and Park Moo-yul, who helped plan the attack with the 21 man team. As the mission is going on the five officials abort the plan, to avoid conflict with the US and to get nuclear support from them. The mission is a success but as the men go to board the submarine for extraction; South Korean snipers on the submarine open fire killing 20 of the 21 men. The only survivor Lee Jin Pyo, was saved by his best friend Park, who took a bullet saving his life. Lee vows revenge and steals Park's only child, and runs to the Golden Triangle. At the Golden Triangle he raises the child as his own and trains him extensively in combat. He eventually tells Lee- Yung Sun his true intention of revenge and sends him to MIT to receive a doctorate. Seven Years later When Lee returns to Korea he joins the Blue House as an IT professional and begins work on revenge for his biological father and his step-father.


Handguns

Smith & Wesson Revolver

A Smith & Wesson Revolver Snub nose revolver can be seen used by Lee Jin Pyo (played by Kim Sang-joong)in Season One episode 4. It is also the gun used by the other prison guards but is holstered.
