The MP40 is used by both German and Italian forces as well as by various POW's when they are disguised as German guards including Col. Joseph L. Ryan (Frank Sinatra), Maj. Eric Fincham (Trevor Howard), and Sgt. Bostick (Brad Dexter).
Schwarzlose m.07 machine gun
The Schwarzlose m.07 machine gun is seen in machine gun nests at the POW camp as well as various German checkpoints.
Mauser Gewehr 1898
Both German and Italian troops are armed with Mauser Gewehr 1898 rifles.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Col. Ryan, Maj. Eric Fincham (Trevor Howard), and Sgt. Bostick (Brad Dexter) use the Model 24 Stielhandgranate taken off fallen German soldiers.
