Person of Interest is an American action television series that stars Michael Emerson (Lost) as Harold Finch, a mysterious billionaire who has developed a computer system for the government that predicts the identity of people connected to violent crimes and terrorist acts that will take place in the future. With the government unconcerned about events not related to national security, and unable to stop the crimes on his own, Finch hires John Reese (Jim Caviezel), a burnt-out ex-CIA black-ops operative presumed to be dead, to help stop these crimes and save lives. The series was created by Jonathan Nolan, the brother of director Christopher Nolan and co-screenwriter of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and is executive-produced by J.J. Abrams. The series premiered in 2011 in the United States on CBS and in Canada on CityTV.
