Crimson Tide (1995)

Crimson Tide is a 1995 military thriller starring Denzel Washington as the executive officer of a US ballistic missile submarine who clashes with the commanding officer (Gene Hackman) over whether to launch their missiles on Russian targets. The film was directed by Tony Scott and co-stars Viggo Mortensen, James Gandolfini, Rocky Carroll and George Dzundza.
