I took a look at this film some time ago to find out that James Averill's Henry Rifle is in fact a Winchester "Yellow Boy" 1866 with the hand-guard removed, as evidenced with the right-side loading gate, and Averill referring the rifle as a "Winchester '66" when he purchases it at a store in Casper, Wyoming. |
