::I would definitely agree. I wouldn't even give the 96 its own section, as there is basically no way to tell the different calibre guns apart without a '''very''' good look at the slide markings, just merge the guns into the relevant section. As the only appearances listed are games, I hghly doubt that a games developer will actually be basing the model off of a .40 96 anyway, they will just use the much more common 92 for reference so listing it as being a 96 is not necessarily correct. Just curious, how is it established in the RE games that the gun in quetion is a .40, is it just presumption based on the magazine size, or is it actually stated as a 96, as the "appears as" column just lists it as a "Samurai Edge".  --[[User:Commando552|commando552]] 15:03, 29 August 2012 (CDT)

::Material for Samurai Edge describe Barry's as being converted to a .40S&W chambering from a base model of a 92FS. So it's kind of a sticky spot as to how to categorize it. It may have a 96's slide, barrel and magazine, but it started as a 92FS. So yes, it's still a .40 in the other games as well, it's just debatable as to whether it's actually a 96.--[[User:PistolJunkie|PistolJunkie]] 15:12, 29 August 2012 (CDT)

I would definitely agree. I wouldn't even give the 96 its own section, as there is basically no way to tell the different calibre guns apart without a very good look at the slide markings, just merge the guns into the relevant section. As the only appearances listed are games, I hghly doubt that a games developer will actually be basing the model off of a .40 96 anyway, they will just use the much more common 92 for reference so listing it as being a 96 is not necessarily correct. Material for Samurai Edge describe Barry's as being converted to a .40S&W chambering from a base model of a 92FS. So it's kind of a sticky spot as to how to categorize it.
