Resident Evil is the 2002 feature film adaptation of the Capcom video game series. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Death Race), the film stars Milla Jovovich as Alice, a young woman who along with fellow survivors must find a way to escape a underground biofacility that is infested with zombies. The film would launch the Resident Evil film series, which now spans five films.
The following weapons were used in the film Resident Evil:
The female medic in the commando team carries a Walther P99 best seen when the commandos storm the mansion in the beginning of the movie. One of the commandos, Warner, also carries one in his holster, as seen when the Red Queen scans each of the members and displays their weaponry.
Springfield Armory Mil-Spec M1911A1
Rain Ocampo (Michelle Rodriguez) uses a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec M1911A1 with Pachmayr grips and an accessory rail as her sidearm. This weapon is also shared between the characters, specifically Alice (Milla Jovovich), when all of their other weapons run out of ammunition. Matt (Eric Mabius) can also be seen trying to draw a Springfield Armory M1911A1 on the commandos in the beginning of the movie before it is taken away from him.
J.D. Salinas (Pasquale Aleardi) uses a Smith & Wesson 5906 with factory target sights as his sidearm. He also uses this weapon to shoot a zombie two times in the knee caps and three shots to the chest before Rain unloads her MP5K and sends it flying unrealistically.
Heckler & Koch G36K
J.D. Salinas (Pasquale Aleardi) uses a Heckler & Koch G36K as his primary weapon. One (Colin Salmon) also carries a Heckler & Koch G36K with an attached AG36 grenade launcher and SEF trigger pack. One holds his by the launcher's grip and never by the rifle's grip, and in fact shoulders it and aims it in that way. All of the folding stocks have been removed. One's discards his when he is faced with the laser hallway, and it is left abandoned there when he is killed, and JD's is lost when he is swarmed by zombies in an hallway he opened.
AG36 Grenade Launcher
One (Colin Salmon), like J.D. Salinas (Pasquale Aleardi) also carries a Heckler & Koch G36K, but his assault rifle has an AG36 grenade launcher mounted under the barrel of the weapon. Alice (Milla Jovovich) is seen holding the G36K by the AG36 grenade launcher's pistol grip in the US theatrical poster. One is frequently seen shouldering his G36 with his shooting hand on the grenade launcher's grip when in a firing stance, a very tactically unsound way of using the weapon and making the weapon appear like a bullpup to the untrained eye. What use a grenade launcher would be in the cramped quarters seen in the movie is debatable. This is one of the earliest appearances of the AG36 grenade launcher in a film.
Heckler & Koch MP5KA4
The rest of the commandos, most notably Rain Ocampo (Michelle Rodriguez) use Heckler & Koch MP5KA4s with two 30-round magazine clamped together and Walther scope as their primary weapons.
High Standard K-1200 Riot Deluxe Shotgun
Alice (Milla Jovovich) grabs a High Standard K-1200 Riot Deluxe Shotgun - 18 1/8th inch barreled 12 gauge riot/self defense shotgun with rifle sights out of a police car in the abandoned streets at the end of the film.
