White House Down is a 2013 action film directed by Roland Emmerich (2012, Independence Day). Channing Tatum stars as John Cale, a Capitol Police Officer and failed Secret Service applicant who must rescue President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) after the White House is invaded by heavily armed mercenaries. The film is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on June 28, 2013.
