Just saw the movie today not a 100% sure. And possible spoilers here but the scene when Roadblock grabs the M4 of a fallen Joe and pushes it into the ground possibly to make a grave. It looks like the M4 has a side charging handle which to me I think is the first time I've seen an AR in film with a side charging handle. I guess I'll know for sure once the movie is on home media. Did anyone else notice it or am I just going crazy? --DarkSamuraiX1999 23:56, 20 April 2013 (PST)

:I saw it today.  It's possible that they used a rubber prop for that scene, rather than have to clean a real weapon after jamming it into the dirt. --MrMiracle (talk) 18:55, 21 April 2013 (EDT)

SCAR-L or SCAR-H

Third Generation FN SCAR-H STD - 7.62x51mm NATO

I think Adrianne's is a SCAR-H, judging by the mag. The one used by Bruce looks longer and more curved so I guess it's a 5.56.--Predator20 08:16, 13 December 2011 (CST)

I guess this will be the first film to feature a SCAR-H. - bozitojugg3rn4ut 05:42, 14 December 2011 (CST)

Unknown sniper rifle

This is the only shot you get of the rifle, but my guess is that it is one of those single shot (or side loading magazine) .50 BMG uppers that can be fitted to an AR-15 lower. The companies that make these also tend to make lowers that don't have magazine wells so am guessing that is what this is, but I can't find a match, does anyone recognise it? --commando552 11:03, 13 December 2011 (CST)

The Rock in training

These are from The Rock's twitter page showing him training on various weapons for G.I. Joe Retaliation. --commando552 10:05, 15 December 2011 (CST)

Unknown Glock

A woman in the trailer (not a G.I.) uses a Glock. I think it is a 3rd generation Glock 17, but I am not 100 % positive.--Coltmth 12:48, 29 January 2012 (CST)

SAW in the film - Is is a Daewoo?

Though the Rock is seen training with an M249, is that a Daewoo standing in for a real 249 in the screencaps? MoviePropMaster2008 23:23, 11 February 2012 (CST)

I think it is an M249, definitely has the M249 front sight. I'm fairly sure that they are the same weapon in the film and in the training, they both appear to be the current M249 as advertised by FN USA with the new style gas block (below). --commando552 03:39, 12 February 2012 (CST)

The Daewoo K3s are only used as M249 stand-ins by the armorers in British Columbia, and this movie was filmed mostly in Louisiana. Also, that gun seems to have a Minimi/M249-style gas tube and front sight, rather than K3 style. -MT2008 09:12, 12 February 2012 (CST)

Handheld .50 cal

I'm no expert, so I'm wondering if someone could tell me - is this the first film where someone has fired a Browning M2 handheld?--Leigh Burne 08:25, 24 February 2012 (CST)

It's the second. It was mentioned on the forum a while back that some other movie had a guy firing an M2 like that, but it was only available on VHS. Can't remember the name.--Mandolin 09:19, 24 February 2012 (CST)
OK, thanks. I know Sly was supposed to fire the M2 in Rambo (the fourth one) handheld, but obviously he didn't in the final film. Thanks for the help.--Leigh Burne 09:33, 24 February 2012 (CST)
Ok, found the thread. The movie was called Nemesis http://forum.imfdb.org/showthread.php?t=1811 Link to the trailer on the page.--Mandolin 20:18, 24 February 2012 (CST)

This is a homage to the comic book character that Dwayne Johnson plays in the film, as Roadblock in the comic books carried the M2 handheld as his weapon of choice. --Ben41 15:10, 24 February 2012 (CST)

Glock 21?

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

The barrel diameter of Dwayne Johnson's Glock pistol looks pretty wide in this shot. This could mean it is a G21 but I can't be sure.

That may indeed be a 21,but a photo can be misleading depending on lenses used, camera angles, etc. I am not sure the wholesale change of the the previously identified Glock 17s and 19s to the 21 is warranted yet(I sure can't tell for sure),however the Glocks on the table, one with a Surefire X300 sure look like 19s to me,based on the X300's length and the finger grooves(the middle one is wider on the 19). Helmet

The second guy to the left...

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

...is that an Ops Core FAST helmet? The rest of the fake US Army troops' helmets look to be standard ACHs, while the side on this one specific helmet looks like it rides too high to be one. Would seem an odd choice for posing as a regular Army Soldier, and last I checked, troops weren't allowed to buy their own personal choice of helmet. Spartan198 (talk) 19:28, 12 December 2012 (EST)

It has been so long since I took those caps or wrote the description (damn 3D conversion) that I am not 100% sure who is meant to be what, but am fairly sure that the people in that pic are Joes, so they can be wearing whatever they want. The explosion is them being attacked by US Army Apaches when the Joes are attacked and wiped out. I don't remember saying that there were any Cobra Vipers posing as US troops (I think someone else wrote that, but I can't remember), they were dressed in regular Viper gear with the Crye Airframe helmets fitted with Chops. --commando552 (talk) 19:46, 12 December 2012 (EST)
New guy here. Closer inspection shows that all four helmets pictured are identical. Likely either Ops Core or Mich 2001 with ARC rails added, as if they were bought on a budget it's possible they purchased Chinese made replicas- where TC2001s with ARC rails are commonly available. Best indicated by black chinstraps, not clear or well lit enough to tell at the present. --MagicCityMan (talk) 01:19, 28 March 2013 (EDT)
I've taken a second look and they're most likely OpsCore, the ARC rails for MICH/TC series extend further towards the rear. As well the actual shape of the helmet are different --MagicCityMan (talk) 01:26, 28 March 2013 (EDT)

Additional Guns in the Movie

P90, M60E4, M240, thompson (in museum), M1 carbine (in museum), ACR, G36, LaRue OBR

There were a large number of guns in Bruce Willis's house
Also the Rock's fired Full Auto/Burst in one scene --Insertjjs

Side Charging handle M4?

I saw it today. It's possible that they used a rubber prop for that scene, rather than have to clean a real weapon after jamming it into the dirt. --MrMiracle (talk) 18:55, 21 April 2013 (EDT)
