Django Unchained is a 2012 "Southern" written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars Jamie Foxx as Django, an acquired slave who is partnered with a bounty hunter named Dr. King Shultz (Christoph Waltz) to track down and eliminate the notorious Bittle Brothers of whom Shultz has no knowledge of appearance. If the brothers are brought to justice, Shultz promises to aid Django in his quest to find the man who has enslaved his wife and rescue her from his clutches. The cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Don Johnson, Walton Goggins, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film's name is a homage to the 1966 Italian Western Django that starred Franco Nero (who also has a role in this film). According to IMDb.com, the armorers for the film are Tony Didio, Jr. and gunsmith Larry Zanoff.
The following weapons were used in the film Django Unchained:
Pistols
Cobra "Big Bore" Derringer
Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) and Django (Jamie Foxx) use Cobra "Big Bore" Derringers as their secondary weapons. They are attached to drawer slides that allow for quick pistol drawing. They are both polished steel with pearl grips which means they are duplicates or in fact the same pistol. This weapon is anachronistic because the movie took place in 1858. It's a modern version of the Remington derringer, a popular pistol of the old West, but even that was post civil war.
Remington 1858 New Army
Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) uses what appears to be a Remington 1858 New Army. We also see Django (Jamie Foxx) dual wield revolvers, one of which is a Remington 1858 New Army.
Django (Jamie Foxx) dual wields a Colt 1851 Navy and a Remington 1858 New Army.
Colt Dragoon
Lil Raj Bittle, the Brittle brother who whipped Django's Wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) while punishing the girl for breaking eggs drops what appears to be a third model Colt Dragoon. After whipping him in revenge for the whipping he gave his wife Django picks it up and shoots him with it six times.
Shotguns
Double Barrelled Muzzle-loading Shotgun
A double barrelled muzzle loading shotgun is used by a slaver (James Remar). Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) and a slave also uses one.
Sawed Off Double Barrelled Muzzle-Loading Shotgun
Calvin's bodyguard, Butch Pooch also played by James Remar uses a Sawed Off Muzzle loading Double Barrel Shotgun.
Rifles
Sharps Rifle
A variant of the Sharps Rifle is used by Django (Jamie Foxx).
Henry 1860
A steel framed Henry 1860 rifle can be seen being used by henchmen, Django (Jamie Foxx) and Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). This weapon is anachronistic due to the movie taking place in 1858, although they could be intended to be stand-ins for the Volcanic Repeater rifles which were the immediate predecessor to the Henry rifle.
Enfield Pattern 1856 Cavalry Carbine
Several henchmen are seen with Enfield Pattern 1856 Cavalry Carbines.
Remington 1858 ("Cattleman's Carbine")
We see Django armed with a Remington 1858 New Army "Cattleman's Carbine" while on horseback. The gun is never fired in the Film.
