Shane Black is an American screenwriter whose works include the original Lethal Weapon and The Last Boy Scout (the latter of which was sold to Hollywood at a then-record price for a screenplay). He appeared as an actor in such films as Predator and RoboCop 3 and has since gone on to direct the films Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3.
