The Long Goodbye is is a 1973 mystery crime drama directed by Robert Altman and based on the Raymond Chandler novel of the same name. Starring Elliott Gould as Philip Marlow, Nina van Pallandt in the role Eileen Wade and Sterling Hayden as her husband Roger Wase.

At one point in the film, Philip Marlowe (Elliott Gould) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 10 and uses it.
