Unknown Handgun

I can't be a Colt. It's got a S&W-style cylinder release. If we're assuming they didn't use anachronistic guns, a S&W or a Charter Arms? --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:09, 5 March 2013 (EST)

Most of the Colts are actually Smith & Wessons. Hackman is shown with a 4 inch barreled Smith & Wesson Model 10, while Dafoe is carrying a Smith Model 36 Chief's Special, round butt. The other agents shown are carrying S&Ws also as shown by the Magna grips. As to the deputy's Colt, the Trooper Mk III wasn't in production at the time of the actual events,and it appears the Colt has a lanyard loop, so it is most likely a New Service. The RG-38 is a nice touch; there were a fair number of them in the area at the time. Regards,
