In August of 1944 (Russian Title: V avguste 44-go /В августе 44-го) is a 2001 Russian/Belarusian World War II film about a team of Red Army counter-intelligence officers (SMERSH) which try to find a German radio operator behind soviet lines. The film is directed by Mikhail Ptashuk and based on a story by Vladimir Bogomolov.
