The Makarov PM was seen in the hands of Chinese police officers on numerous occasions as well as in the hands of Jack Moore (Richard Gere) who is seen with one during his escape through the streets of Beijing to the American Embassy. This pistol is most likely a Norinco Type 59, the Chinese copy of the Makarov.

Chinese police officers are seen armed with the Norinco Type 56-1 rifle in their pursuit of Jack Moore through the neighborhoods of Beijing.
Beretta Model 92FS
A Beretta 92FS pistol was seen in the holster of a US Embassy Marine when Jack Moore (Richard Gere) gets inside the US Embassy and asks for asylum.
