Out of the Past is a 1947 film noir directed by Jacques Tourneur starring Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Rhonda Fleming and Kirk Douglas in an early film appearance. Retired detective Jeff Bailey (Robert Mitchum) is framed by a former client, Whit Sterling (Kirk Douglas) for a double homicide. The film features not one but two femme fatales, Kathie Moffat (Jane Greer) and Meta Carson (Rhonda Fleming).
