The Lone Ranger is an upcoming 2013 Western that is a new telling of the Lone Ranger story popularized in radio, film and television. Despite the title, this film focuses primarily on the Lone Ranger's sidekick Tonto (portrayed by Johnny Depp). The film was directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl) and the cast includes Armie Hammer as the title character.
