Death Race 2 is the 2011 DTV prequel to 2008's Death Race. The film stars Luke Goss as Carl "Luke" Lucas, the driver who would become the original "Frankenstein", the character Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) replaced in the 2008 film. Many of the heavily modified cars seen in the 2008 film make a return appearance here, including the Porsche 911 driven by 14K (Robin Shou). The film was produced in South Africa, thus many of the weapons seen here appear to be of South African origin.
The following weapons were used in the film Death Race 2:
Non Race Weapons
M4A1
M4A1 Carbines fitted with Surefire lights, foregrips and ACOG sights are carried by the guards of the Terminal Island Correctional Facility.
Glock 17
Lucas (Luke Goss) is seen taking a Glock 17 from a fallen police officer and using it during the botched bank robbery.
Vektor Z88
Due to the film's production in South Africa, the Vektor Z88, the South African copy of the Beretta 92FS, appears to be the handgun used throughout the film in lieu of the Beretta, notably when a Chinese triad hitman is seen holding a suppressed pistol at the film's end.
Vektor SP1
The Vektor SP1 appears to be the handgun used by both the armed bank robbers and bank security.
Remington 870
A Remington 870 with a pistol grip is used by one of the bank robbers.
Armscor BXP
Another one of the bank robbers opens up with an Armscor BXP submachine gun (manufactured in South Africa, where the production was filmed).
FN Minimi
Prison guards are seen carrying the FN Minimi as the drivers inspect their vehicles.
