Captain Blood (Le Capitan) is a french historical adventure film directed by André Hunebelle in 1960. The story takes place in the early 17th century during the reign regent Marie di Medici (Lise Delamare) for of juvenile Louis XIII (Christian Fourcade). But the real power has Cardinal Concini (Arnoldo Foá), which used villainous Rinaldo (Guy Delorme) to settlement of the aristocracy loyal to the king. Rinaldo´s gang robbed and burned to the ground the Chateau of marquis Teynac. Impoverished nobleman has a good friend named Francois de Capestang (Jean Marais), known by the nickname Captain. He had now come to help and together they start to fight with Rinaldo. When skirmish, Teynac perished and Francois is seriously wounded. Miraculously, however, appear a kind of brunette (Elsa Martinelli) and save his life. When the captain wakes from a coma, the girl is gone. After recovering Francois issue with his faithful servant Cogolin (Bourvil) in Paris to avenge his friend's death and tried to find a beautiful unknown ...
